Never available in the market before

The Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers company is about to hold its inaugural 'Russian Works of Art' auction on May 25th, 2017. Art collectors take this event as a great opportunity to get hold of unique gold items from ancient times.

This year, the sale will feature Imperial Russian and Soviet decorative works of art that come from American and European private collections never seen in the market before.

What items will be auctioned that day?

The sale will be divided into different sections: the gold section, silver section, whose most valuable items are priced at est. $60,000-80,000; the porcelain section (est.$12,000-15,000), and a selection of Russian historical prints, maps, paintings, and society portraits (est. $30,000-50,000).

Special mention to gold

The most awaited works of art are included in the gold section. The participants of the auction are particularly expectant to the following two items:

  • Gold and Guilloché Enamel Russian Imperial Presentation Snuff Box with the diamond cypher of Empress Maria Alexandrovna (1824-1880), the wife of Emperor Alexander II (1818-1881).

This box is appearing on the market for the first time in generations and its value is estimated at $12,000-18,000.

  • Gold Minute Repeating Chronograph Hunting Case Pocket Watch depicting Emperor Alexander III (1845-1894) and engraved with the signature of his wife, Empress Maria Feodorovna (1847-1928).

The watch commemorates their visit to Helsinki in August 1895. It is priced at approximately $25,000-35,000.

Global InterGold has special gold offers every day.
